Rose’s journey into creating children’s music began in 2015 when she started her career as a Children’s Specialist in a public library. With her folk/rock and jazz background, Rose truly found her musical voice in writing songs for children and playing ʻukulele for storytimes.
Rose’s new singable songs for young children supports early learning, empowerment, and community connections. In her music, Rose also loves to share the aloha spirit with songs inspired by her Filipina-Hawaiian roots.
Rose is the creator of the YouTube channel, ʻUkulele Storytime with Rose Lani, featuring storytimes, tutorials, and interactive music sessions for all ages. With over 5.6K subscribers, Rose has taught, encouraged, and inspired storytime providers in libraries, schools, and beyond to bring the joy of the ʻukulele to children!
